Theatre Ontario Festival 2012 invites all students to join in on a theatre event that comes to our community once every ten years by offering a special student rate on all show tickets. The exciting variety of award - winning plays from across Ontario (presented across four nights May 16 - 19) include a powerful drama based on true events, a brand new Canadian thriller and brilliant comedies including one penned by the one and only Steve Martin!
Student rush seats will be sold at the door before the performances for only $10 each (a $15 discount). Rush tickets are available to high school students and to university and college students upon presentation of a valid student card.
This year marks the 40th Anniversary of Theatre Ontario, which is hosted by Theatre SMC, Quonta and Theatre Ontario from May 15 through May 20. Bringing together theatre lovers from all over Ontario, the festival is a distinctive learning experience with adjudications, workshops, networking and play readings by Canadian writers. It is a celebration of the best in community theatre, as the adjudicator recognizes outstanding achievements including the presentation of the coveted ‘Elsie’ for outstanding production in the province.
