The Elks 341 Bantam Black Sox scored a pair of victories on Tuesday night against Newberry.The Black Sox swept a double header by scores of 7-4 and 8-7.
In the early game, the Black Sox used a three-run sixth inning to pick up the victory. The three runs broke a 4-4 tie. Jamis McMaster had a pair of hits and a walk in the win while Beau Nolan chipped in with a single and walk.
The second game saw the Black Sox battle back after falling behind 6-1 to pick up the victory. A seven-run fourth inning put the Black Sox ahead 8-6 and give the Sox a lead they would not relinquish. Colton Reed had a pair of walks in the victory.
Next up the Black Sox talk on Soo, Michigan on the road on Thursday night.
