Environment Canada have not issued any watches or warnings for the district as of yet but they did issue a special weather statement warning of potential heavy thunderstorms developing today in Sault Ste. Marie.
A cluster or two of strong thunderstorms is likely this evening in the Sault Ste Marie and Northern Lake Huron area and then possibly moving southeast into Southern Ontario overnight.
There is A risk that these storms may be severe with strong winds, large hail
and heavy downpours all possible mainly over the Sault Ste Marie and Northern Lake Huron area.
Isolated non-severe thunderstorms are possible over Extreme Southwestern Ontario in the evening.
