"An Agonizing End to Life" is the message being delivered to Sault Ste. Marie Tuesday as a group making up the New Abortion Caravan rolled into town.
The New Abortion Caravan is travelling across Canada to try and convince Canadians that abortion is a form of legalized murder. They are saying that science says an individual becomes a living human being at fertilization.
They travelled city streets by truck that had photos of dead unborn babies on it. In following the truck, a lot of amazed looks on the faces of people, looks of disgust, awe, and displeasure seemed to be the reaction.
The caravan started in British Columbia and will end their journey in Ottawa on July 1st.
While at Superior Heights High School, there were some heated discussions between them and some students but everything ended peacefully, unlike when they were in Thunder Bay where they were doused with some chocolate milk. The business man that poured the milk was charged with assault and spent the night in jail.
Stephanie Gray, spokesperson and executive director of CCBR said her group was appalled by the assault of a business owner in Thunder Bay on Saturday, but refused to be intimidated. “We will continue with our tour regardless of violence or threats of opposition,” she said, “because someone has to speak for the pre-born children who cannot speak for themselves.”
The controversial campaign is aimed at those who are sitting on the fence about the issue.
Gray, said, “Abortion is tolerated by the Canadian public because it is invisible to them. We use our graphic projects to make the victims of abortion visible, showing abortion as an act of violence that kills a baby, so that abortion becomes an unthinkable option."
